Here you go! New things

One Sunday, not so long ago, I made my way over to the lovely Q. She had invited me over to see her new Milk Teeth stock and to take a few snaps behind the scenes of her latest 'this is what I have for you' shoot [For which Lezanne was modeling] Q moved to Jobusy from Hong Kong a couple of years back and as a treat to herself and me and you and your grandmother, she began importing [for lack of a less fancy word] clothing from her home-jerome - this, my friends, is Milk Teeth. A selection of quirky, fun and fantastic pieces perfectly picked to create a collection unlike those we see in our overcrowded malls. I know you spotted those platforms and those Mary Janes; Q gets a limited number of showstopper kicks, which to me, are the kind I HAVE to have, but will probably never wear because I can't pull off the high heel thing. I was however, extremely tempted to walk out the door with that pair of orange Karen Walker face goggles, golly they're gorgeous! Please head over to Milk Teeth and email Q and set up your own date to view her stuff - but here's a warning, you will want to take it all with you, so bring a friend to help you carry. [don't buy those sunnies, I want to buy them when I win some sort of money prize for something]

Rah rah, za-a-rah

It's practially summer here in Joburg, although really it's only the beginning of Spring. I'm not a summer kid, I long for rainy overcast freezing days always; but this small taste of sunshine is not half bad! It's too warm for it, but I do love the Zara September lookbook; well, these pieces at least. Enjoy the weather where you are too!

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today is my lovely Mom's birthday. I'm sad that I can't spend some time with her today, you see, birthdays are always quite an affair in our family, especially the morning of. I'd love to be sitting at Chelsey House sipping tea and sharing gossip, laughter and sarnies with my Mom and sisters right now, but a phone call and thoughts will have to do!
See how beautiful my Mom was and still is? My Mom is better than your Mom.

Ring-a-ring-a-rosie

In the biginning of my extremely eventful year in Jobizzle, I worked with my Mom's cousin Miguel in the function coordinator business; I loved doing the weddings most of all. The flowers! These pictures remind me off all the things I learned during that time and of all the beauty I got to see.

To top it off

I think tomorrow, after work, I may just pop into Hyde Park mall. I'll make a b line to the Woolies, skip over to Country Road and get myself one of these lovely hats. Maybe, but probably. In any case, I'll need something new and splendid for tomorrow nights Market on Main very first Night Market! Will I see you there?

Pretty new faces

- Lovely, aren't they?

My dreamboat

I just adore/LOVE/obsess over John Travolta; more than you think you know, more than you will ever want to know. I can't tell you why or how it started, but I have pretty much had a thing for him all my life. So naturally, when my friend Gerdus sent me this book I was absolutely, mother flipping ecstatic. I have since torn a few of the pages out to stick on my wall and last night I dreamed I met him! So this is all going really well - I still want to write to him, on the slight chance he sends me a signed portrait; although, I did write to Robbie Williams once and I'm still checking my postbox for my reply.

Buy it for me, please

I'm going through an extreme 'I want to buy things' stage of my life. Unfortunately, I'm bringing home the bacon while paying for it at the same time, so really, I dream of buying things. These nice outfits from Patouf Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection are just a few of the nice things I dream of buying.
